Measures taken for Covid-19 at Blink
Covid-19 has changed the way of working for every Business and has pushed everyone to adapt to the new normal. Japan like most of the countries, declared a State of Emergency back in early 2020 and most businesses were forced to move to remote working. We, at Blink too adapted to this move and made necessary changes in our operations.
Since March 2020, we’ve been implementing measures and technologies in our center to fight COVID-19 and offered the safest environment for our members to keep working.
We have been the first coworking space in Tokyo to install a face recognition machine with an automatic body temperature check at our entrance.
We made our center a safer place for residents according to the best standards by installing professional UV lamps killing the airborne germs (these lamps have been installed in kindergarten, nursery rooms, schools, JR stations …etc.).
Plus, we placed multiple touchless hand sanitizers on each floor and installed desk dividers in shared-desk areas. Members were also advised to practice social distancing to maintain separation when using the hot desk and cafe areas.
We increased sanitization of frequently touched surfaces such as doorknobs, handrails, tables, chairs, …etc, and set up a mandatory visitors registration protocol for identification & travel tracking.
Since the beginning of the Coronavirus outbreak last year, no members nor staff have been infected and we’re continuously looking for ways to improve and adapt our procedures as well as our protocols to maintain the best hygiene level possible. We’ll continue to do our best for the community and stop the spread of any virus within BLINK’s premises.
Infact, we have successfully hosted Offline, Online and Hybrid events with all the safety procedures in place. We run temperature check at the entrance and make sure that all the attendees have a mask on at all times (except the speaker — with optimum distance from everyone else).
We are in constant check with the Government policies and update our terms accordingly to make sure there is no room error.
